The name of this blog is "Talking Heads". Just kidding, it would seem that the name of this blog is "Fractured take on modern life", what an odd name.
What to say now? I am 22 years old and live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. I currently work at a small software development company with a foreign sounding name. Don't bother trying to guess the name, you've never heard of it. More precisely I live in a suburb of Ottawa called Kanata. Kanata is home of the Corel Centre where the Ottawa Senators of the NHL lose most of their games. I am also a student at the University of Calgary, I will be entering my fifth and final year of undergraduate study in September 2004. I hope to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with superstar honours. In the summer I like to golf, ride my bike and play ultimate. In the winter I like to snowboard and play ice hockey.
I was born in Calgary in 1981 and lived my entire life there until moving to Ottawa in May 2003. What the hell am I doing in Ottawa? Good question. At my school Comp Sci students have the option of completing 12 month internship position at a real company between third and fourth year. I enrolled in the internship program, applied for and interviewed for a few jobs. I was fortunate enough to get offered a job by my current company and took it. Made the big move out to Ottawa, leaving all my friends, family, and girlfriend behind. WTF was I thinking? Oh yeah, I remember, I was thinking about $$$$$$$.
I do not have any real grand purpose for this blog. I have occasionally been know to be able to capture hilarious thoughts in writing. This always struck me as odd since in person I am kinda funny, but not really funny. Whether I am really funny in print I am not sure, I guess we shall see.
